I'm curious! Have you already committed the act?
I've an H just fitted with new fronts, but getting ready to do the rears pretty soon. I'm getting along in years and wouldn't consider the job myself, but Tires & Treads in Burlington, NC gave me an estimate of $750 coming out to the job. He questioned me as to what they were filled with as he recommended refilling with an ethyl product of some kind. He proposed dumping the present salt compound on the ground? What have you done, or consider doing with the present contents? I'm not so sure there wouldn't be an environmental restriction?
