If it has an alternator it is negative ground. If it has a generator it can be pos or neg ground. Here"s a handy way to usually determine whether it"s pos or neg ground: Looking at the terminals on your ignition coil, take a look at the low-voltage wire that goes from one of the terminals on the coil, to the distributor. If it leaves from the negative terminal on the coil, it"s a negative ground tractor. If it leaves the positive terminal on the coil, it"s a positive ground tractor. Good luck.
