That is a magneto not a distributor. It has points and condenser, but they are inside and behind a set of gears. I would rather think it was a slightly different issue than having you get into that unit just now. Bumping around with a loader can dislodge both water and trash in the fuel tank. Open the drain in the bottom of the carb to see if a solid stream of fuel comes out. If not, I would clean fuel system lines and the screen at the carb inlet, and the sediment bowl. The person who discussed issues with timing gears didn't know you had a non live Liftall Belly pump system that is not associated with gear damage. Removing the distributor cap and checking for carbon tracks, cracks, or moisture is a good idea. Let us know what you find. Jim
