oldiron29, sorry I missed you as well. Believe it or not, that is the Tractor Supply Majic IH red. Rattle can. I was skeptical a month or two back, but thought, what the heck, I'll try some of it. I painted a couple of things that needed to be RED, just to try it out.
Well, I was impressed. The spray nozzle puts out what is almost a profession fan spray, and holding about 6" - 8" away, and using a normal 1/3 overlap, I have been VERY pleased with the results.
On the tank, I took it down to bare metal. Hit it with an acid etch primer. Then did a light color coat, 10 mins flash time, and then a heavier "gloss" coat. You see the result.
I cannot comment on the durability, but so far, I am pleased with the color/hue, and the quality of the finish. time of course will tell. I am not setup to shoot urethane, so I go with the alkyd paints. Rattle cans for small jobs, and paint gun for larger ones.
