to do a good job speed isnt the thing this is what 1st gear is for dont rake the windrows to heavy you should get at least 14 or more slices per bale give the baler time to do its work you want a nice firm bale you will learn dont get in a hurry the faster you drive the thicker the slices are then you will have a spungy and rubbery loose bale take time do it rightyou will learnwhat kind of machine are you talking about ho on the tractor is not the big thing they started with pto balers in the 40s after the war we didnt have big hp then and you dont need it now it still takes time to make a good firm bale
