When I was a kid back in the late 1940's early 1950's my Grand Father had an H that the starter locked quite often. As I remember it, he had a few magic words he spoke over it, mom said we were not to use those magic words, then he would put it in 5th gear, get in front of a rear tire and push a coupla hard pushes, get back on the tractor and it would start right up. The tractor couldn't be real old at the time.
