Well here is what ya need to do to figure out what is going on , remove the thermostat housing and remove the thermostat unhook the water pump belt . This is to be done on a COLD engine fill the block with water till it is even with where the thermostat sets . Start the engine and rev it up hard , IF water comes shooting out like old faithful then HUSTON YOU have a problem with compression getting into the water system . This could indicate a leaking head gskt. a cracked head or cracked block . If nothing showes up there then i would be looking at a ing. timing issue and also what octane gas your running and maybe a lean burn condition due to a carb problem .
