It'll run practically forever with the TA lever forward if you keep it adjusted.
But if you want to fix it up good, you really need to at least replace the ramp and rollers in the TA. That may be all it needs, and will be far cheaper than a whole new TA.
On the other hand, a whole new TA will outlast you, your children, and your grandchildren's children. If you were plowing for 16 hours a day, 6 days a week you'd need to replace it eventually, but not with the normal hobbyist/collector usage.
