I would not go for the moldboard plow the first time through. A good disk plow attached directly to the tractor would work but finding one for the H may be a problem. A pull behind disk plow with a trip lift might be found. Two disk would be the best bet. You need a little speed so you need to be able to pull the plow in third. At slower speeds you might not be able to get the plow to suck into the ground and cut roots and limbs. Since you mentioned rocks I assume your soil will be a little heavy so stick with no more than two disk. Honestly the H with a pull behind plow will not be the best choice for the first trip over. A tractor with a direct mount disk plow will do much better and I would recommend some short term arrangement. After that you can switch to a pull behind moldboard or disk harrow plow for future plowing depending on your location. Once you have dealt with the roots use the same type plows the old farmers use in your area. Time is on your side and the roots and limbs will tend to rot making plowing easier down the road.
