Cub's along with A, Super A, B, & C's did not use a waterpump. They utilized a system called Thermo-Syphon. It was based on the principal that hot water rises so when the coolant got warm in the engine it would start a flowing process through the engine and the radiator. And as the water fell through the radiator it would suffiently cooldown enough to keep the engine at a safe operating temperature. Early John Deere letter series tractors used this principle also. it is a simple process that is time tested and works well when you maintain your cooling system properly. Hope this helps.
