It was for a M not long ago .
It would be good to hear it run .
If it starts good you've eliminated a lot of problems already . like the carb , ignition . starter ,ect .
Does it charge . Gages work ?
A compression check hot is great . You can pull one spark plug at a time (engine running)to see if you have a "dead" cylinder . A dead cylinder will not have an rpm drop when you pull the plug wire to that cylinder .
Can you drive it , check brakes . Clutch , gears .
You dont want grinding noises in the transmission .
Look at the cylinders for the bucket . Is the shaft pitted ? leaky ?
