Howdy folks,
I came across a tractor today that caught my attention. After doing some research it really has my attention but also has me puzzled. It is a hydro 70. Walking up to it I noticed an extra wide seat on it. I've seen these before when dealers used them to demonstrate the tractor (mainly on Deere tractors from the 50s). As I looked the tractor over I found several places where a goldish color of paint was showing under the red. Now, I know that IH only did the gold demonstrators in 1970 when the 826, 1456, etc. were out and these hydro 70s were made later. Is there some possibility that this is also a gold demonstrator or is it just someone's gag from years ago. I can't find anything in my books to back it up. I'd love it if it were for real because I might try to buy the thing. Any help would be greatly appreciated in solving this mystery. Thanks!
