Ive split many there you do need to be able to roll one end apart best if its on wheels. After moving apart a few inches then you can unhook the drive shaft from the yoke coming out of the tranny. Or remove two blots on the u-joint. I would also replace the bearing. You also need to remove the bolts holding left brake and clutch pedals as that shaft goes thru the bell housing and the tranny cant move until they are loose from the platform as they will slide apart along with bell housing. I can do it in two hrs but i do have wheels to let one end roll apart.
