FARMALL 130 12 VOLT CONVERSION PART 2

Well, I had an idea. We have an old John Deere out back. It is a 12 volt. I know before it was parked out back it ran. So I took the coil off it (resistor built in), and put it on the 130. Still wouldn't start. Got into the points and shinned them up. SUCCESS! It started and I let it run for a while. When it was warming up the ammeter was between 20 and 30, then dropped down between 10 and 20. The warning light went out. Only thing is the motor has a "miss". Probably in need of points, huh? So tomorrow I should be able to report a complete success. Thanks to all who offered advice. FARMALLERS RULE!
