Thanks for the replies. Good to know. Well, I know it was rebuilt about 25 years ago. I'd have to ask my uncle what was used at the time, but I'm betting if the standard kit was available, it was what they used. I remember them rebuilding it, but it was done quickly and I didn't help on it...
I'm going to go through most of the tractor anyhow as it was run constantly until about 10 years ago.
We've got larger tractors for true grunt work. Of course, most of my time with the tractor was after many hours of use, so a rebuild of any fashion would be a good step up in power.
I had also read about using 1st gear from a 140? Offered a little bit of a gear reduction as well?
