James, I to was thinking about originality. But you are right! it is still an F-12 wide front. I have an original wide front that I have never mounted because I was ashamed if it. Some farmer had broke it, But did a nice job shaping steel on the cast and welding. It looks very strong and heavy. I guess I should just mount it and not worry about it. oldiron29
