In the grand scheme of things it probably doesn't matter.
SAE-30 non-detergent is just straight up oil with no additives, so if a little gets in the Hytran, or a little Hytran gets into it, there won't be any adverse reactions.
The problem I have is finding non-detergent oils. There's pallets of hytran or hytran-compatible oil in every farm store, but only once in a while do I ever see a few quarts of non-detergent motor oil on the shelves.
What is the point of running around town paying too much and dealing with tiny quart jugs of non-detergent motor oil when I can just pick up a 5-gallon pail of hytran compatible stuff at the first store I go into?
