That can be many things. Valves not set right or a bad rotor and or cap or bad distributor bushings etc etc. Check your spark at all 4 plug wires and make sure it is a good blue white and will jump a 1/4 inch gap or more. Also check that the points open to the same gap on all four lobes of the distributor
