Your PTO unit looks almost exactly like the one on my 450. You see the two bolts that are slotted with nuts to lock each one? Those two are the keys to your "kingdom", so to speak. If you will give me a call at 318-465-0797, I can talk you through it. But what it amounts to is you are going to loosen each lock nut and turn the slotted bolt inward about one turn (clockwise), re-tighten the locking nuts, and then check it out. The way you check out the pto brake is by getting the lever in between engaged and disengaged, and slipping a foot long piece of 5/16 inch all thread through the hole in the pto output shaft and seeing if you can rotate it. You should just be able to without bending the all-thread. Then, put the lever into the engaged position, and see if you can rotate it. If you can rotate it without bending the all-thread, then the engagement slotted bolt needs another half turn. I think the engagement slotted bolt is the rear one of the two, but I'm not sure. Others may have better memories than I do. Good luck, Hugh
