I've located an International 2444 with loader for $3500. Trying to do some research on this tractor, I've found the 2444 is the industrial version of the 444 and the only specs I can find on the 444 is the HP. The owner tells me the tractor is a 70's model, so I have to assume it is either a '70 or '71. I've found pointers to Jeff Grodey's site, but his site (at xoom) seems to be retired. Can anyone give me some more specs on this tractor. e.g. live hydrualics? live PTO? hi/low range? number of gears? where to find the serial #? From a quick & dirty inspection, the tractor appears to be in good condition. $3K seems reasonable if a more detailed inspection yields a strong running tractor. Any gotchas I should look for?
