As far as I can tell, any Farmall B engine should bolt right up to any other B. The other gentleman is right, if one is electric start and the other is not, make sure you get the flywheel you want or the starter will not work. For that matter, any A,B,C,Super A or Super C block should also bolt up but, the later engines will have some diferences such as hydraulic pumps & water pumps. Accesories such as carburators & distributors will vary too but, should be compatable. I know of a 1941 A with a Super A replacement block installed on it. The hydraulic pump and the gear that drives it are removed, leaving an empty hole, but it seems to run OK. I don't know what they did to keep engine oil from running out the opening though. If your stuck block is not cracked, don't throw it on the scrap pile, it should be possible to pull the piston and sleeve out together and salvage the block. They don't make those anymore. Pistons and sleeves are not hard to come by.
