Sounds like the front seal on the transmission input shaft. First off, is the transmission overfull? Check for water at the drain plug. If contaminated, flush it and refill but don't fill above the level plug.
If after that you still have a leak, replace the input shaft seal. To do that you need to split it between the bell housing and the transmission. Only split it as far as you need to access the u-joint in the input shaft. Take that joint apart to get to the rest of the disassembly. Do not pull the front part of the shaft out of the bell housing any more than required to get at the joint. If you pull it too far, it will drop out of the throwout bearing carrier. Good luck if you do that.
Accessing clutch parts requires a split between the bell housing and the engine. You should not need to do that as part of this job.
