Well, all the previous answers are fine, but I will add a little detail. Is this a show tractor or are you gonna work it? Show tractor, 80W90 is fine, and is also what I run.
If you are going to work the old girl, next question I have is what is the climate where you are at, and when do you plan to use it the most? Warm climate, hard work (plowing, disking, etc), I would go with the heavier lube.
If you live in MN, WI, SD, ND or similar, and plan to work her in the winter, like snow plowing, I would probably go 80W90 as well. If you live in a warmer climate, go heavier. All the older manuals I have seen offer pretty much what I just told you, except they say to add a little Kerosene in the winter, and then change it out in the spring. Gear lube is too expensive today to operate like that. Plus, today's gear lube has a much longer life.
