The clutch on an F20 is not adjusted by Free Play. This is not a letter series tractor. The petal should be firmly held to the transmission stop by the return spring attached to the rod. Then you open the inspection cover and adjust the clearance between the throwout bearing and the clutch with the throwout bearing pushed back in contact with the fork. The adjustments are done with the rod and the clearance, not free play. This should also compensate for the extension someone welded on to make the clutch easier to push.
