Something is fishy there. The field tractors here sit that long at a time and I consider them "running". They would if I turned the key. I have cars here that sit that long but are running.

I'd tell him you won't pay over scrap. Maybe that will help him dig up a battery. For all you know it will sound like it is about to throw a rod and burn oil like a chimney. He's probably one of those guys that says it just needs some Risalone and some time with a plow. Suuuuuure it does.
