So, was waiting for the new throwout bearing for my tractor before I started the clutch disk replacement. I pulled the starter to clean it up and repaint it. Looking inside I could see that the pressure plate was new. Like brand new. Now even I am not cheap enough to replace the pressure plate and not the clutch disk, so I figure I had better investigate.
When I pulled the clutch inspection cover, out fell 6 bolts. Checking inside, it's pretty obvious that they are the bolts that hold the pressure plate to the flywheel. With very little work I have them back in, but I don't want this to happen again.
So what is the proper torque for those bolts, so they don't fall out? It's a 10.5 in Rockford clutch, on a 300U with a C169 engine.
