Well, anything is possible given enough time, effort, and money. Probably most folks will tell you that adding a TA to this tractor will take about as much of each as the tractor is worth. First you'd have to buy the TA and its control lever. You can probably find the lever at a salvage yard, and TAs are a fairly standard item from parts suppliers. Then you'd have to split the tractor (I think to put in a TA you'd end up pulling the clutch housing out completely, i.e. splitting the tractor in two places). A lot of work and money. On your exhaust, the 300 Utility was offered with either the underslung or overhead exhaust from the factory. I'd assume this was true for the 340 also. On the 300 these required different sheet metal, as well as exhaust parts. If you really want details on this, get a parts book for the 340 from Binder Books - it shows just about every nut, bolt and option, and is a very good investment if you're planning to do any work on the tractor yourself.
