Here's some pics from my SA.

This casting has to come off. I supported mine with a cherry-picker.





You can see the externally-contracting brake-band, on a pin at one end, exiting the casting at the other. Hang onto the clevis. You can also see the lock-nutted bolt that holds the drum onto the shaft, if you want to take the drum off and clean it up.



Here with the drum off.



And mine with the new brake-band on, still without the clevis.
