No there is not a special tool to remove the belt. If your tractor has a water pump one of the two pulleys has a set screw in part of the pulley. Loosen the screw (I believe it is a 1/2 inch wrench and a flat screwdriver) and turn the outer half of the pulley. If it does NOT have a pump the spindle the main pulley is mounted on (i.e. where the pump would be) has 2 flat spots on the shaft behind the pulley to loosen ALL the belts.
