The rod that you lift and pull out or push in, while sitting in the seat, appears to have been broken. It is now two pieces, that overlap in the middle and that has two bolts holding both pieces together. If this piece is something that someones repaired, I would like to remove the bolts,and weld the two ends together to make it one straight piece. Would someone please give me the measurement, from the end with the pin in it, to the bend that goes in the support by the rear of the tank? ON mine the length is about 23 1/4" Thank you Steve
