Don, You should be okay with the front of the tractor lowered. I've never done it this way but believe it should work with minimal fluid loss. If you're unsure about the condition of the fluid in the rearend, then I would recommend changing it out at the same time. Unless you've owned the tractor for a long time who knows whats in there.
