Matt...I'm not sure what to tell you about the relative values of Fords versus IH. In Alabama, any N series Ford will bring more than a similar year IH except for Cubs and Super As. The hundred and thousand series Fords are much more than equivalent IHs. Example...I could get a decent running IH 240 for $1500...a Ford 600 or 2000 would be between $3000 and 4000. Which is a better tractor? I don't think there is $1500-$2500 difference in value, it is just that here, Fords are more popular and cheaper to maintain (parts tend to be much cheaper) so they tend to fetch a premium, especially with hobby farmers. Go with what you are comfortable with...Between my dad and I, we have had 3 Fords, 2 Farmalls, and 1 JD. I have the 2 Farmalls and have spent a fraction on them compared to what dad put into his Ford 3000. Tractor bashing aside, you have to decide what you like...BB
