Dad spent most of his adult life sawing coal mine timber on those open-blade push sawmills. When farmers started phasing out the hand-cranked tractors, they were plentiful and available for scrap price here in southern Illinois. Dad’s last tractor was a Farmall H, and was the only tractor he owned with an electric starter. I appreciate everyone’s comments. Thank you.
