The firing order on a cub is 1-3-4-2. Cylinder 1 is at the front and cylinder 4 is at the back, etc. Every inline four with which I am familiar has this firing order- there may be an exception somewhere. This is the order on the distributor or magneto cap. No. 1 is marked on the cap. Turn with hand crank and observe the rotation direction of the rotor to determine the position of #3,etc.
