Quick test: Engage the PTO then observe the PTO shaft with the clutch engaged and the transmission in any gear except 5th.
If the PTO is NOT turning there's a problem with the countershaft drive (broken countershaft, busted constant mesh gear key, stripped constant mesh gear set, etc.) Otherwise it's a problem with all 3 shifting forks (not likely.....)
Either way it sounds like you're gonna need to remove the top cover for a peek inside.
