That might have been me talking about pressure plate finger adjustment. I went round and round, finally figured out on my "H" I have to adjust the pressure plate fingers to sit 3/16" away from the release bearing, and then sit the pedal 1 1/2" away from the transmission case. Don"t know about your W4, but it sure seems like the fingers might have to sit pretty close to the release bearing for it all to wirk.
