I rather have the magneto working if possible the reason being it bugs the heck out of me seeing the magneto coil cover setting there with no coil wire hooked up to it...and I think the magneto is a more efficient ignition than a coil...
Repairs I have done so far...
Removed slack from steering down to 1/2 inch from 4 inches.
Repaired Belly pump oil leak.
Repaired oil leak at back of engine, Thought it was rear main seal but pulled pan and rear oil pan plate and checked the rear main seal and was not leaking some one did not seal the rear plate properly and left it loose resealed and tighten and no more leak.
Repair charging system (Alternator) and wiring...
Overhauled carburetor.
Cleaned bottom of oil pan and bottom of oil filer housing and oil pickup screen, change oil and filter. 50 psi at idle after the clean up.(little high but I can leave with it).Was 20 psi before cleaning. Engine is very clean no crud at all...
And some other little repairs here and there...
One rear tire is weak but got an extra wheel and tire with the tractor but the wheel is wider looks like an inch or so but the tire is the same size need to remount it on the original wheel.
