Yea a car dealership sounds about right!Un futunately I cant shop dealers. We only have the one.The next closest one is at least a hundred miles away.Ive been lucky over the years that I have several "non-chain" auto parts stores that not only sell alot of parts but stock then on the shelves as well. For instance,The Case/IH dealer wanted like 25 or so bucks for a point set for my M.Local store had the same set for 20 and i ididnt have to drive 40 miles to get to it.It wasnt IH but the dealer we have doesnt sell IH parts like that anyways. They do carry some parts, like I said bearings and seals but only because they match up with something alot newer. As a matter of fact, the owner once told me he would even stock something for that old of a tractor if he had to because he just doesnt sell that much of it.Let me add that since Case and IH became one this particular dealer has changed hands two or three times since.Shoot 20 yrs ago, under the original owers of the business, you could get near any part you needed, and in some instances sheet metal too.Times have changed for sure.
