I removed the power steering from my Super WD-9 many years ago. The control valve on the cylinder was continually leaking and the internal parts were very worn. Parts were non-existant back then. It had a separate pump that was mounted on the left side of the engine and it was belt driven. The "distributor" pump was not used to run the power steering. The hoses for the system connected to the tractor's normal round hydraulic reservoir situated in front of the clutch pedal. It used a special aluminum fitting with two separate ports to connect the supply/return hose to the reservoir. It all looked to be parts supplied by IH but I am thinking Char-Lyn made it for them. Definitely was not a bunch of plumbing parts cobbled together by a previous owner. A parts manual might have a diagram that shows the complete system. I will take a look and see if I have a diagram.
