Sam: Looks like they had only one battery running to the solenoid. That would be 6 volts from just one battery? Ok if its a 6 volt solenoid(non original?)and it works when starting. Nothing serious here. If the solenoid does NOT work well, try connecting to the full 12 volts(both battery) harvey
