I was wondering if anyboy ever made their own carb gasket? If so what material you used? I posted last week about my white gunked up carb on my Farmall SC, took carb apart, center gasket tore on both sides in the center edges of gasket. Why I am asking is I went to my local farm equipment dealer, gave number off the brass tag on carb of my Farmall SC 771SA and the carb kit that came in was ABC231. I searched the internet and this seems to be a universal one that fits many carbs and good for 771S but not 771SA. I have found kits that had the right gasket but says its for a SA. Would order one off the internet but am in Canada so that could be a hassel and costly. After cleaning the carb good and blowing it out with air it seems to be quite clean. I was thinking of trying to just buy a gasket but haven't found any gasket alone, next choice would be making one. Last choice will be a 60 mile drive to a Case/IH dealer. Any tips appericated.
