I converted my Dad's SW6 to 12volts after meeting CharlieU from this site @ RPRU 2012. He had a very good looking H with a small alternator on it. Was impressed with the kit & how little he charged for whole kit. Got home & started right away. I love how it charges, not like outdated 6V battery leaking. Having the gen/reg not working. I'm a fan of the Hitachi alternator, cause of the size. These old tractors will never need more than 35 amps ever. Another great feature, it charging as soon as engine is running. Something like 400rpm. My IH 560D as typical delco 10si, it wont start charging till revs are over 1200 to 1400 rpm. That's getting very close to the top side of the letter series rpm range. This winter going to also put another CharlieU kit onto Dad's H, then 1 on my W450 after that. Here is pic on a SW6, don't have pic of H yet, but you will get the idea.
