Hi Guys, I'm rebuilding my Super M and like everyone else, want the best HP for the dollar. My standard overbore in frame kit with dome pistons runs a hair under $500.00. I have a couple of good 8060 DC heads, the best one will be reworked.
Without spending a ton of extra cash, are there any other options that might help in the power dept? Another piston mfr that can use my stock rods to bump compression? How much can I safely mill the head? If I run the block sleeveless, is there enough meat in the deck to bring it down past the liner rings?
This eliminates filler rings and raise the comp.
I also have the fire crater over bore pistons in it now but I haven't measured to check if they're useable. The sleeves are shot though.
Trying to weigh my options and put the best combination together at the best price.
