Just connect it to the amp gauge on the side not connected to the starter switch. If you are putting this on to replace a generator, the regulator/or/cutout should be removed and the wires reversed on the amp gauge due to negative ground being different than the original positive ground. Put the battery in negative ground (assumes it was positive ground from factory. Change all light bulbs. Put the coil wiring so that the little Positive terminal is hooked to the ignition supply, and the negative is attached to the distributor. If going from 6v to 12v, the coil will need a ballast resistor, or replaced with a 12v coil no resistor required. The wire going to the light switch (if you have a regulator with a L terminal) should be connected at the electrical box to that same Amp gauge terminal. If you have a magneto ignition, ignore the ignition data above, it makes its own voltage. Jim
