I use a small 800 watt Homelite generator. It'll power all lights you'll put on just a tractor, especially if you use LED lights like I've been converting to. If you used LED lights, you may be able to get away with only an inverter. I've ran many, many strings of LED lights with it. I once maxed it out with the regular bulbs with lights on a tractor and a trailer. The generator I use is nice, heck the tractors are louder than that generator. -Andy
