o.k. I know this sounds dumb...but check to see that your wiring on the distributor is correct. If you mistakenly used the wrong terminal for the number one plug, it will do that, because you can advance/retard the distributor enough to make it run o.k...also if you are using the incorrect direction of rotation. Of course it will be rough running, but it will also be too rich. Also check if just one wire is crossed with another.. gues how I know this. jo
