After going through the steering top to bottom and changing the worm wheels and steering joints I find that half of the tractors issues are in a very slightly bent steering spindle and it"s drop tube. I don"t use this tractor much and don"t feel like dropping $300 plus into parts. What are the odds of getting a machine shop to straighten these to a point it"s usable? The tube and spindle are bent "just enough" that you have to give it the hairy eyeball and gun barrel it to see the bow. I know a machine shop operator who works cheap and is a bit of a Farmall nut. I"m not expecting butter smooth steering, just workable and if a bit loose then so be it.
