They were introduced in 1976 made by Komatsu of Tokyo, Japan. My neighbor has a 1979'model gas.
He hasn't had trouble finding parts yet. I wish I knew how many were made. Good little 28 horsepower tractor. I raked hay with it this summer very manuverable. Sometimes it's hard to get it into gear,especially 4th clutch probaly needs adjusted. Hope this helped.
