That is a pos gnd system you need to check the Delce Remy gen and then see if the regulator is the Correct ONE FOR THAT REG. That is important as on the bottom of the reg it should say which ground that reg is made for. You will need to remove the reg as it should be marked for which ground its is made for. When you are correct on the ground and hook up the wires again you will need to polarize the gen to make sure everything is correct. Its possible he reg is fried by having the incorrect ground.
