Now i may be wrong on this BUT they were only used on tractors with fast hitch that did not have the drawbar and used the fast hitch draw bar . IF you did not use the lock out brackets with a fast hitch draw bar while using any PTo drive implement there was a chance of the drw bar being pushed up and snapping off the PTo shaft or while pulling a heavy load the draw bar could be shoved way up and cause the tractor to be shoved over by the load while going down hill. My 806 is and early one with fast hitch and has them but i have the under slung draw bar with draw bar support and i never use mine . NOW my one friend has a early 806 with fast hitch and no under slung draw bar and he does not use his and we will not go into how many PTO 540 shafts that i have had to put in his over the years Due to him bumping the control lever by accident or by the two implement pushing up on the fast hitch . But my advice is to just get a underslung draw bar and the bracket for that draw bar and for get about the brackets UNLESS you going to tractor pulls and pulling off the fast hitch .
